An angled headshell intended for straight tonearms, where the offset angle the arm does not provide has to come from the headshell instead. Fitting a conventional headshell to a straight arm leaves you with no way of setting the overhang correctly, and this solves it.
Finish: black.
On headshell mass
Headshell mass is not a detail. It sets the effective mass of the arm, and with it the resonant frequency of the arm and cartridge together. That figure wants to land between roughly 8 and 12 Hz: below it you are into warp and footfall territory, above it and the resonance starts to intrude on the music. High compliance cartridges want a light headshell, low compliance moving coils want a heavy one. If you are unsure which way to go with your arm, ask us.
