The TA-SF9 Series II is a complete rethink of what a tonearm should be. The same revolutionary Korf technology. The same acclaimed Korf sound. The same ease of use. In a fixed headshell tonearm. Stereophile Class A Recommended.
Hey, what’s the deal with the Series II? What changed?
We are always looking for ways to improve. Through three years of production, we have learned enough to take the performance of our tonearms to the next level. Here’s what we have done:
- Stainless steel vertical column, giving a more solid foundation to the whole tonearm
- Steel vertical shaft for deeper and more defined bass
- Internal redesign for even more rigidity
- Simpler, cleaner, more premium look
- Completely new azimuth adjustment mechanism for smoother setting
- Warranty extended to 3 years now
The Reviewers Love TA-SF9
The German Lowbeats magazine tested the TA-SF9 with a multitude of cartridges, and came to a conclusion:
“This tonearm is a musical instrument that is intelligently designed down to the last detail, superbly crafted, easy to handle, virtually universally applicable, trouble-free in operation, and sonically magnificent. If I had to settle for a single tonearm for the rest of my days, it would, as of today, be the TA-SF9.”
The German glossy hi-fi magazine Image Hi-Fi concluded:
“The hyper-precise bass reproduction may seem a bit slim at first, but it reaches deep down and can growl nasty (…) It’s been a long time since the fragile voice was so clear, so focused, so direct between my speakers. Conclusion: The arm sounds better than it costs, and plays much higher.”
