Audio Technica AT-VM95EBK
The AT-VM95E in a black body. Dual moving magnet generator with a bonded elliptical stylus, and the point in the VM95 range where the cartridge starts sounding like a serious component rather than a competent one.
As with every VM95, the body accepts all seven styli in the series, so this is a starting point rather than a fixed specification. Moving to the VMN95EN, ML or SH later needs no realignment.
